Store Policies - Online Orders

Ordering:

Marine Parts Plus displays a "Ships Today" or "Special Order" button for each item. Items that are in-stock and ready to ship are labeled "Ships Today". Items that display "Special Order" are not in stock at our warehouse and will be promptly ordered from the manufacturer and then shipped to you. Please see shipping policies to determine the lead times of special ordered items. Marine Parts Plus also displays the quantity of each item we have on hand so you can determine if we have sufficient quantities to fill you order.

Special ordered items:

Special ordered items are charged a 100% deposit charge at the time you place your order.

Shipping:

Please note that when you special order an item there is a lead time for that item to arrive to our warehouse before we can ship it to you. If you select a premium shipping method such as Next Day Air, your selected shipping method applies only to the outbound shipping time, standard inbound lead times apply. Please see shipping policies for special order lead times. If you need to have your order expedited please contact us prior to submitting your order.

All orders received by 5:00pm eastern are processed that business day. Orders received on a non-business day are processed the next business day. We observe United Parcel Service's business day schedule. In-stock items ordered by 5:00pm eastern, that are shippable with United Parcel Service, (within weight and size limitations), will be shipped the same business day. Provided In-Stock items are not grouped with Special Ordered Out of Stock items, A split shipment option is available at checkout. Large in-stock items are shipped via common carrier truck will be shipped within one business day. Items not is stock will be shipped as soon as they arrive to our warehouse. Generally these items will arrive at our warehouse within 3 or 4 business days. You will be notified if any portion of your order is on Back-order and will not be shipped out within 6 business days.

Product Brands:

Marine Parts Plus let you decide what brand parts you want to order. We do not substitute brands without your permission. We offer original equipment Mercury and Mercruiser Parts as well as select High Quality Aftermarket parts. Our electronic parts catalog shows "More Parts Options" on select items, when this button is available, and you select it; you will see an interchange box appear showing the optional parts available for your application. You can then see the availability and cost of the replacement part you want and select the brand and/or price that's best for you. Sierra aftermarket part numbers begin with the prefix "SIE". Canada Metals (Martyr anodes) display a "CM" prefix. First Mate remanufactured items display a "FST" prefix; original Mercury/Mercruiser items do not have a prefix.

Product Availability:

Some items listed in our vast part number database are not available to purchase. These items may include no longer available items, discontinued items, hazardous items and other items we are unable to sell or ship, such as Marine Batteries. If you order any unavailable items you will be promptly notified and refunded.

Processing Errors, Shipping Damage or Defective Parts

Shipments containing parts not ordered (i.e. wrong part sent), packaging errors (i.e. wrong part in box, labeled incorrectly), or shipping damage should be brought to Marine parts Plus attention within 10 days of receipt of goods. Customers please contact us for order correction. Marine Parts Plus will arrange for the item(s) to be returned free of charge (i.e. call tag) and will send the correct item(s). This pre-approval is necessary to avoid freight and restocking fees. Defective parts and accessories should be processed under Warranty policy.

Checkout:

When you are done shopping, please review the items in your shopping cart, make any necessary changes, and complete the checkout process and submit your order. Please note; orders cannot be changed once submitted. This includes quantities, part numbers and shipping methods or shipping or billing addresses.
